current OS corrupted? Long story short, I have a little glitch on my iphone 4. Facetime, talking carl, voice memos, and every other single voice app works on my iPhone.. .except for the phone (ironic, isn't it?). I can hear people, but they can't hear me unless we facetime. I have concluded that it must be a software problem, as this started happening way before I jailbroke it, but just after i updated to iOS 4.1. Assuming I have a corrupted iOS, I need to re install it (before 4.2 comes out).

But I jailbroke my phone, and I really don't want to give up the jailbreak. I've heard of apt backup, but is there any sure way to re-install 4.1 and preserve all my cydia apps and data, infiniboard icon placement, and everything? I could use ssh for some data, but there has to be a more convenient way.

If not, then what directory is the aptbackup data in?
