Can I save myself a trip to the grocery store?

I am baking a red velvet cake, and to save myself some time and money I decided to go with the ready made stuff for the icing. But now I am doubting myself on that. Should I go out and get the things to make the icing myself or is the ready made stuff seem okay.

You can save yourself a trip to the store -- just do what Sandra Lee does and add 1 t. vanilla extract to the ready made frosting, stir and put on your cake.
