Can I substitute 1/3 cup vegetable oil for 1/3 cup melted butter in a cake recipe?

I want my cake tasting more flavored. Can I use butter instead of the required oil it asks for? Will my cake come out dry? Do I need to make any more adjustments?
I am making this cake for friends, I want it to be very good.
