ok heres the situation i want to play my xbox 360 online but at my house we have one modem and it is for the main computer so whenever i want to play online i have to kick who ever is on the computer off. so i was wondering if i took the modem from my moms house which she just got put in but doesnt use cause her computer is broken...... so if i take it from her house put it on my computer the plug my xbox up will it work? does like installation mater ( like it is assighned to that house so it only works at that house ) or should i be able to use it at my house?
