can i take electronice gadgets on the plane?

i am goint to tour south east countries next week. can i take my dryer and straightener along with me? or will they provide in the rooms?and also what kinda clothes can i wear in malaysia and singapore?

Yes, you can take those items with you. They can be in your checked/cargo luggage OR in your carry-on/hand luggage.

No idea on how to dress there.

All battery operated items have to go to the luggage box, not in handbags. Mobiles have to switched off after take off .
No dress code, in both; but malayesia being a Muslim country may not entertain all the Western dresses - so pl. talk to their Embassy about this before starting with wrong dress !
