Can i transfer my XBOX Live Gold Membership to the new owner of my xbox360?

I want to trade my XBOX 360 for a PlayStation 3, but i still have a 13 months XBOX Live Gold Membership on it, will it be possible to transfer the membership to the new owner under his new GamerTag and profile ?
