I'm a US citizen living in the Dominican Republic, and my passport expired a couple of months ago, I'm going back to the States for 2 months, all I want to know is if I can travel back to the States and renew my passport up there. Flying from the Dominican Republic to Miami, FL. Thanks

You will not be able to use an expired passport. That's the law, why do you people always want to bend the laws in your favor? That is criminal thinking.

You should go to the US consulate in the DR and renew it before you leave. They will probably not let you on the plane with an expired passport.

You can't travel on an expired passport. The USA might let you in as even an expired passport shows you are a US citizen, but the Dominican Republic might not let you out. It would be best to get a new one first from the US Embassy in Santo Domingo.
