I bought a Sony Ericsson W715 about a year ago, it's got HSDPA network (3G+) and Wifi, it's a seriously good phone, just a little bit old tech (compared to my new phone iphone 4). Does anyone know if there's a little java program that I can install on the phone that will broadcast a wifi signal and allow users to connect to it and share its mobile network/internet? It just occurred to me the other day, it's got all the tech there to do all of this, but nobody's taken advantage of it to write the software, or maybe I'm wrong and the wifi chip inside it doesn't allow for broadcasting signals. I don't know.
I've scoured the internet for an answer about this but all I can find is how to do this with an android device which is no help.
Anyone got any ideas?
