I have the Gateway FX 6800-01e.? Would I need to upgrade my somewhat measly power supply? I already upgraded my memory to 9gb. Otherwise, it's untouched.

The processor is the one part of a computer that is the hardest to replace becuase you essentially have to tear the entire computer apart to do so, though it is possible. This isn't something that just anyone could do, you will most likely need a professional computer technician or the like to execute you plans.
