Can I use Iphone by inserting my T-Mobile sim card into it?

I have T-Mobile service and I want to get an Iphone, is it possible I insert my T-Mobile sim card into the Iphone while still using my T-Mobile service?
 
You can only do this if you have a hacked iPhone. Mind the fact that having one is illegal and if you get your own iPhone hacked the warranty that you have on it is voided.
