Can I use my bluetooth headphones with my iPod on an airplane?

I know that cell phones are prohibited in flight, but what about bluetooth wireless headphones? They only have a range of a few feet so I don't see the problem with them.

You're right -- since the range is only a few feet, it's doubtful that it would affect any of the plane's electronics. In a study by the IEEE, portable DVD players were found to be a much greater risk. However, you're likely to get asked by the flight attendants to not use them, and they have no way of knowing you're not using them for a cell phone.
