Can I use my Nokia applications on a HTC phone.?

Hey, I currently have a Nokia N8 and its broken (thank god) so the insurance company decided to give me a HTC Rio. I'm wondering can I use my Nokia applications on my HTC phone. The N8 has a Symbian operating system and the HTC has Windows 8 on, would this work?
 
No you cannot but you can install Nokia maps now because its now available in the windows store
