can i use my rogers sim card on fido's lg gossip?

i am thinking of getting the lg gossip because i need to replace my cellphone. my current cell phone is a rogers phone with a rogers sim card. i want to get fido's lg gossip but i want to use my rogers sim card so that nothing changes. would that work?
