Can I use same covers on iPhone 2G and 3G?

Hi, I have iPhone 2G and I want to buy some cheap cover (on e-auction). Unfortunately, mass of the nice covers have headlines like "Cover for 3G...". I know, that 2G and 3G have different dimensions, but just only a little.
Does anybody have tried it?

i never had an iphone but the 2g and 3g should be the same. oh, and if you want a cheap but good iphone 2g cover go to a store called 5'n Below

i dont really see a difference between them so yeah go for it ders nothing you got to lose.
