I would think that as long as the battery is 12 volts and will fit properly in your battery rack you could use it. The only thing a battery in a car is meant for is to store an electrical charge. When the car is running your alternator creates spark for combustion and keeps the battery charged. If your alternator fails your car will run until the battery is drained.
