I just moved into a home and the gas furnace vent pipe is broken and has fallen off. The pipe was single walled plastic, type 'BH'. Can I replace that pipe with a steel type 'B' pipe?
I don't know why it was in plastic to begin with but you can use BH (it's double walled). Make sure that the pipe will fit outside first by getting (dim.) measurements before buying anything. You can always cut to length but not to diameter.
