Can it be argued that for some shoe lovers, shoes are also collectibles, not

just simply items of clothing? For you ladies (and guys) who love shoes, do you see them as just attractive items of clothing that you wear on your feet?

Or do you also see them as cherished things you genuinely get a lot enjoyment out of buying and collecting, in a similar fashion to people who collect things like coins, antique plates, sports cards, action figures, porcelain dolls, DVDs, etc.?

Do these examples seem to suggest "collector" mentality to a certain degree?

Do you know more about the terminology relating to the styles of shoes than the average shoe buyer, who'd normally just buy shoes that look nice?

Do you know about the designer labels and even a little bit about their history in the fashion industry?

Do you keep each shoe in its original box, carefully sort them out, and have a mental catalogue of where each pair goes in your closet?

I've noticed that hobby collectors tend to do the same thing with the stuff they collect.
