Can my Inspiron 1525 laptop read a Blu-Ray Disc?

No. I'm afraid it can't. It has a combination DVD/CD drive. Blu-Ray discs would not be readable nor writeable on this particular laptop ... unless you went out and purchased a Blu-Ray writer, of course.
 
I have to do a back up for my files, because my laptop is going back to Dell.
Because I have a large amount of files I thought a Blu-Ray disc with its big storage capacity would be suitable.

But can my Inspiron 1525 read and write on Blu-Ray discs?
