Can my iPhone connect to the internet using my computer's wired connection?

Not tethering, unless my knowledge of tethering is flawed and it works both ways...

My schools wi-fi is complete crap. I still haven't gotten a 3g plan yet(I have an unlocked iPhone).

If connecting to my computer vis USB automatically uses my comp's connection...then damn...
