My mechanic told me the reason my handling is "off" in my car (it's all over the road at 65+mph) is b/c both rear rims are severely bent. This started the very day after I had 2 rear tires replaced. Is it possible that when the tires were mounted, they bent the alloy rims?

**If they were already bent when I took them, shouldn't the tire place have told me? I bought the tires at a well-respected local shop & had the alignment checked**
also, the tires were not balanced when they were put on - just mounted
They didn't ask me at the tire place if I wanted the tires balanced....I just spent $190/tire, so I would have gladly spent another $50 for balancing if that was the right thing to do. My mechanic has been working on German cars for 30+ years, so I trust his opinion on about everything.
