Can someone explain step-by-step how to download a torrent?

I'm currently downloading a torrent for the sims 2 pets and I want to know EVERYTHING I need to make it work


This is what the intructions are

1. Unrar.
2. Burn or mount with Daemon tools.
3. Install the game:

IWR9-YUI4-CRLD-AALE-RTHE

4. Copy the cracked files located in the Crack directory on CD to your
installation directory.
