Can someone give me plot ideas for my sci fi novel?

Can someone give m plot ideas for my sci fi novel?
It is going to be a teen sci fi action...as far as i have planned the protagonist is Xaiden Alexander Storm. He will be an average teen who gets shot after going to a party. he then will be rushed to a hospital. the doctors will tell him he has a punctured lung and the survival rate is low, they offer him a drug in testing stages. The doctor will really be a genetic scientist and teh drug will grant Xaiden psychokinesis (control over fire and ice...and telekinesis among other things).....thats all i have execpt that the doctor is a bad guy....
 
i like the above idea of a time limited life
but also maybe some purpose behind giving him the drug
maybe hes a distraction from the doctor's true plans
maybe the gov. wanted to test out a new "super soldier" drug

another thing that might be cool to add is he needs more of it
like an addiction
after awhile he starts losing strength and needs his "fix"
that could be cool
seems to me more like it'd make a good comic book compared to novel
either way i'd probably add it to my list of books to read XD

At first, he doesn't tell Xaiden that he has powers, but instead tells him he needs to rehabilitate. He sends him to a asteroid at the end of the Karin Cluster (asteroid belt). He finds teens his age that are also there rehabilitating. Everyone is happy, until people start disappearing. Then, he finds out that all the children there were test subjects for a super weapon (insert name) that is powered by psychokinesis. All the teens rejected the weapon implant (it's implanted in your chest, which is also why Xaiden doesn't expect anything when it is implanted in him) and mutated into some freak of nature. After discovering the "waste pile" also known as Mutant Zoo. You can continue from there.
 
chemical that gives him powers also sets a time limit on his life (like he will die in 30 days or something) Doctor tries to exploit him and that time to run tests, but the kid escapes, plans to infiltrate lab and get revenge while finding out how to save himself. possibly he brings other of the doctors tests with him to help him fight? something like that.
