Can someone help me on a speech? I need help on a nice and catchy introduction?

Alrights i would really appreciate this as i need a way to start a speech about Consumer Protection. The only thing i know what to say is 'today i will be telling you about.....' but that seems too normal and i won't get any marks. Can anyone give me any ideas ?
 
Have you ever been caught off-guard and let a telemarketer get the better of you? Then you'll understand my argument for a need for better consumer protection!

Don't know exactly what your speech is about, but come out with a question of some sort dealing with something maybe they have experienced out in the business world, some injustice they may have experienced as a consumer, and then go from there......
