Can someone with a pacemaker use a vibrator or handheld massager?

I am little embarrassed to be asking this to my cardiologist, any help will be appreciated. :)
 
No you cannot.

I am completely unsure of the reasoning why, however when my sister in law got her pacemaker she was given an information package which stated she could no longer use battery operated marital aids.
