can the blackberry pearl make and play videos?

I just got a blackberry pearl and i noticed that it has a file for videos with nothing in it. Can you load movies onto your phone or record videos through the camera lense?
 
The 8100 can take Pictures but can not Record Video
The 8120 and 8130 Take Picture and Video Recording.

The File for video is for you to upload videos in to it, but you need a memory card
