Can the controllers for guitar hero world tour wii be used for guitar hero 5 wii?

right i have recently bought guitar hero world tour for wii (the full band set) and I LOVE IT! however, i really would like to buy guitar hero 5 aswell. However i already have the remotes from world tour.

I was wondering if it'd be possible to use the controllers from world tour onto 5?

I'm using a nintendo wii.
