I guess a broader question would be should i get one lol, but I'm not one for triple-digit-Gigabyte MP3 players. Slacker is aawesome service, but I'm confused by the portable option. How many songs would one station have? What happens when u refresh them? I'm trying to see if I can use it in a way similar to the XM Satellite service I had hooked up in my car... thanks for helpin'

I got a slacker in January and I really enjoy being able to take my stations with me. When you load a station to your portable it's the same as listening to it online. You just don't have the editing capabilities that you do online. Every time you refresh the portable you are communicating between your portable and your account; making sure that it updates your favorites and adding new station to your portable. Unfortunately you would have to buy an adapter to listen to it in your car. I think it is $50 on their site. I got the larger one allowing me to download 40 stations and 1 gb for my own stuff. I've had it for a few months now and am not anywhere near using all of the allocated space.
