Can this fast weight-loss method work?

I am 5'7" and I weigh 140lbs and I would like to get down to 120 or 125. I have been eating a healthful diet for about a month and doing a lot of working out, but I am very impatient when it comes to results. I already gained some muscle weight and lost some fat, so I'm back to 140 and haven't seen any improvement since.

I know that it's not healthy to do those flush diets that everyone is into nowadays (rhubarb diet, lemonade diet, laxatives, etc). Would it be bad though if you were doing a lot of exercising at the time to keep your metabolism up? Kind of like getting liposuction and just keeping the weight off with exercise instead of going back to old habits and gaining weight back. I just think it would be easier to lose all the weight first, fast, and then keep it off. I'm sure this is an unwise idea, but I would like some feedback.
