can this optical drive play cd-rom and dvd-rom?

can LITEON IHES206 BLU-RAY PLAYER BLACK SATA DVD Burner Combo Drive play discs such as a game disc? or can it only play blu-ray and burn dvd?
 
Yes that's possible:

CD read compliant: CD-DA,CD-ROM, CD-ROM/XA , Photo-CD, Multi-session, Video-CD, CD-I FMV, CD Extra, CD Plus, CD-R , and CD-RW
 
OK this optical drive can Play Blue Ray Disc and CD-ROM and DVD-R0M. it can play all the disc. and im preety sure it can only play blue ray and not burn. but it can burn everything else.
 
This is the basic breakdown

Blue Ray DVD/R/W
DVD/R/W (DL(Dual Layer)
DVD - ROM (Read Only Memory, means it can only read DVD's)
CD-R/W (Writes/Reads regular CD-R's and Writes/ReWrites/Reads CD-RW's (Re-Writable CD's)
CD-ROM (Only reads normal CD's, no RW's)

Ok, the easy way to know what does what, is that the higher it is on the list the more it can do, basically, from the point its at and down is the stuff it can do, so , say you have a DVD Burner, that means it can Write/Read Dvd's (Both regular and may be able to Write Dual Layer and Write/Read CD's (of all Kinds). It can Only Read/Write Blu Ray and HD if it specifically is in the name.

To answer you specifically, Yes, you can:
Read Blu Ray DVD's ( I highly doubt it can burn them, but you could give it a shot)
Read/Write Regular DVD's
Possible Write but definitely Read DL DVD's
Read/Write All kinds of CD's
