Can you cook tinned tomatoes in the oven with Chicken breast...?

I was thinking of putting chicken breast with tinned tomatoes and putting them in the oven together. I was just curious because on the tin of tomatoes it has options for cooking them either by microwave or on the hob in a pan, so can I still cook them in the oven...?
If I put garlic in with them, do I need to put separate cloves crushed or as a whole clove..?

But the tomatoes will get all mushy and turn into sauce.
I would try to fry them in med-high temperature first with a tiny bit of Olive Oil. Let them get a little crisp. Then put them in the oven. :)

yea u can but i stay away from tinned tomatoes. in my opinion, food that comes from a can tastes like a metal can.

in the time u can grab a can opener and open and drain a can, u can cut up a few roma tomatoes.

Yes, in a casserole dish. Chopped plum (with/without garlic) tomatoes are great with chicken. Try mushrooms with it as well and sprinkle Italian herbs on it.
