Is there any health risks at all cruising while 17 weeks pregnant? This is my first pregnancy so I'm worrying over every little thing. Being out in the middle of the ocean for days while pregnant doesn't seem safe to me. Also we have to fly to miami to board the boat. What should my concerns be while flying and cruising? If there is any risk at all I will not go. Help!

There is no greater risk to you than if you were not pregnant. The only travel recommendations made to pregnant women are to avoid sitting for prolonged periods while flying; get up and stretch your legs to prevent blood clots. Might want to stick to bottled water if you go ashore in any foreign countries, just to be on the safe side. Be aware that your pregnancy hormone-altered state might be a bit more prone to motion sickness, so you might want to contact your doctor to see what they recommend (I am not well versed on whether Dramamine is acceptable in pregnancy - Google it! LOL).

HAVE FUN AND DON'T WORRY!!! Most women would kill to be able to go on a cruise during their pregnancy. Enjoy yourself.
