Can you please help me, my internet keeps getting frozen by --?

I have been trying to upload pictures since yesterday and when I click to go to the upload page it freezes the window and I have to shut it off.

So I sent Tom a message and he replied with:

go here

http://java. com/en/download/installed. jsp?detect=jre&try=1

and check for java updates

I click the link and that site too freezes my internet.
please help.

I use Firefox and Safari.
