can you record a guitar amp with a mic like this? what else would i need?

im thinking of recording some stuff, can i record with a mic like this

im looking for a pretty cheap but not terrible way to record.
i want to be able to pick up distortion, and record onto my computer.
if i get this mic, what else would i need to do?
what kind of cables, etc?

you could connect it to the mic input on your computer, but you probably wouldn't get the best sound that way. i think alot of times the signal from the mics need to be amplified to be picked up verry well by the computer. if you don't get a good signal with just the mic, you could buy a cheap analog mixer, and i've also seen cables that connect a mic connection to a usb connection, that would probably be cheaper.
