can you ride a sports bike in water?

I am just wondering if it would be safe to ride your sports bike (i.e YZF R6) through large amounts of water. Or even off road with it. Thanks in advance.
 
Riding a YZF R6 on a wet road is ok but to think it could be ridden off road or large amounts of water that would be near impossible; it is a sports road bike and not a motocross or trail bike.

It simply would not be safe for you or the bike...
 
An R6 is SuperSport racing bike.

Why would you want to ride it off road & through puddles?
 
yes. but you need to play with the gas while get through the water.. its for preventing the water from entering the engine block.
