Can you split Satellite internet with a neighbor?

So, I live in the middle of nowhere, and my neighbors who live right next door, ordered satellite internet, we've all been using dial-up because that's the only thing available. We wanted to split the satellite internet, (we give them money each month) can you do that? How? Do I need a router?
