PLEASE READ FULL QUESTION. If I know you haven't read it, there's no chance of getting 10/12 points.

I am in love with the HTC Desire Z, okay? But the cheapest non-dodgy uk site price is £330, plus insurance, case, blah blah blah. My boyfriend finally said yesterday that it was a ridiculous amount of money (I'm saving up for it to get it sim-free; it's wayyy cheaper for all phones that way) to spend on ANYTHING and I should settle for something a little downmarket. So my question is.. what phone??

I'm strongly against iphones and blackberries. I believe the people who buy them are naive sheep and I don't like the way they talk about them. 'my iphone!' 'my blaclberry!' it's just a phone; calling it by the product name doesn't make it into this amazing phone. -.-.
I was preferring a real keyboard but I'll probably have to settle for just a touchscreen.
I want it looking nice and snazzy; not very thick or heavy and black definitely, or black and another colour.
NOT a windows phone *shudder* I hate the interface.
Yes an HTC, not a blackberry, iphone, definitely not samsung, not lg, would prefer not nokia. and not alcetel.
It needs a 3/5MP camera at least but MPs say nothing. So 720p video recording :)
The UK price has to be less than the htc; most prices for this were around the £400 mark.

I just got the HTC Evo Shift and I love it! It has touch screen AND a sliding keyboard. It's black, 5 mp camera and 720p video recording. I'm not sure about the price in UK though, sorry!
 
YOU sound like a Naive sheep. If its just a phone then get a crappy little one.

YOU want a "nice and snazy" looking phone? Again, its just a phone.

People talk about their iphones and blackberries because they are good phones. Android is now up there too but almost all there phones are touch interface. The reason blackberries are so good is because of their keyboards, not touch screens.

If a phone is really that important to you then spend your obscene amount of money and get it. If not give a little and buy something almost as cool.
