im about to buy a iphone 2g from ebay and i dont use data plans so can i turn it off? like in the settings or something and just use wifi? and also if i cant turn edge off, when i turn on wifi and use it, will it charge me? thanks
 
if you jailbreak it there is an apn program that will block data but still use wifi.
