Can you unlock a Cingular Blackberry Pearl for use in T-Mobile?

Just wondering. I'm upgrading in March, and my mom has her old Blackberry Pearl that she doesn't use. It's from Cingular, and we are currently signed for T-Mobile. I was just wondering if I can unlock it and use it for T-Mobile. Thanks :D

Oh and one more thing, I was wondering if you buy a phone online at the T-Mobile website (and you already have a 2-yr contract) if you can get the instant discount. Thanks, again :D

Yes you can unlock your mobile by unlock codes and for unlock codes you can contact your provider or can get it from online providers..the safe n best way of unlocking is by unlock codes..from my experience i suggest u not to go for hardware/software unlocking or by cable because there are many risk involved..i got unlock code for my mobile from simpleunlocking and unlocked my mobile..
