Can you use modified ear protection in combat sports if you have severe deaf loss?

But if you want to still do contact sports, can they let you use for medical safety reason. If you got hearing loss on one of the ears and you want to protect one that's healthy.
Like me I have to take precaution for any sport I do. I had no particular problems with the sports I did like football and rugby. I'm just asking if you can still where modified ear protection because I have very sensitive ears and I can't take any risk from damaging my good ear.

I think this will depend on the specific sport you are talking about. If it is amateur boxing or high school wrestling they have the head protectors and this would probably be sufficient. If you are talking about MMA or professional boxing it will be up to the commission that sanctions the bouts. You would have to talk to the promoter and commission to find out for sure.
Also it is hard to tell with out knowing what exact type ear protection you are talking about
