The Canadian dollar weakened on Friday against its U.S. counterpart and all the other G10 currencies, as investors cut bets on another Bank of Canada rate hike after data showed the domestic economy unexpectedly contracting in the second quarter. "The Bank of Canada's job is done," said Adam Button, chief currency analyst at ForexLive. Separate data showed that contraction in Canada's manufacturing sector gathered pace in August.
