Cancelling xbox live gold membership PLEASE Help!!?

ok i want to cancel my xbox live gold membership i used visa credit card, i know you can cancel it by calling but it takes the piss, so what i did is bought a 1month gold membership card from GAME and i changed the payment so now i am paying the gold membership by the card i bought, when the 1month is over will it automaticlly be gold membership still from the credit card?
