cant connect my g7-ii tablet (android 2.3) to iphone personal hotspot?

Hi,

I have a g7-ii tablet running android 2.3which connects to my router at home perfectly (also connects to my mums router fine). I would like to use it while I'm out so I set up a personal hotspot on my iPhone 4. The trouble I'm having is that it can see the the wifi hotspot but when I click 'connect' it does nothing. I have connected my laptop running windows 7 to the iphone hotspot, and also an iPhone 4S, iPhone 3G and a mobile phone running android too all with no problem. the tablet connects to other routers but not my phone.

I feel like I have tried everything without any luck. I have checked and double checked passwords so that isn't an issue.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated,

Make shore the name of your iphone does not have an apostrophe in it as the android does not recognise it. If you have called your phone Dave's iPhone rename it DaveiPhone (you need to do that in iTunes) your hot spot will then work.
