Can't get apps from PC to iPhone?

I have 2 apps on my iTunes on the PC that I couldn't download straight onto the iPhone from appstore.
Now I have synced the phone but the 2 apps haven't gone on the phone, and I can't see any button that lets me move them!

I managed to get some songs onto the phone though, so it is connected right.
One of the apps is a movie (with stills, that's why it's an app and not listed as movie I guess) and it won't play on my PC either.

Maybe the apps aren't compatible with your phone or you have the wrong OS on your phone. Have you gotten the recent upgrade? Is your iphone a 3G? It makes a difference.

Plug in your phone and then open iTunes, once in itunes make sure your iphone is showing up as connected, then click on your phones icon, go to the tab that says apps and click sync all apps, before you do this make sure any existing apps on your phone are transfered to itunes, this can be done by right clicking on your phones icon and clicking transfer purchases then you should be good to go.
