Car Audio: Alpine vs. Kicker?

Ok i have the choice between TWO 12" Kicker 10C128

OR

ONE Alpine Type-R SWR-1042D 10"

Which would you pick and why??

Also i listen to alot of electronic music, rock music, and hip-hop/rap

i LOVE the BUMP
and im currently driving a 2004 convertible mustang
 
KICKERS are DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY. I personally hate them, the sound quality on an alpine is far superior. However, if you like a lot of bass (regardless of quality) then i would have to say to get the KICKERS. "Most" 10inch subs, even an alpine type-R, will have trouble trying to compete with two 12s, no matter what brand they are.
 
I had two 12" Type-R's, and I hated them... the sound was far from clean, and weren't very impressive. I have never personally had any experience with Kickers, but I know people that have them and are happy with them...

Just make sure your box compliments your subs (you can call the manufacturer and find out if the subs are meant to be paired with a ported or sealed box, air space, etc...) The box DEFINITELY compliments the sub... just remember that ;)
 
alpine is the best choice for quality and overall sound given to the fact that you like to listen to different genre's of music.

kickers are good if you like to bump.

BUT. if you dont drive an SUV or an oversized car,. a 10 will be more than enough for you..
 
The kickers. they will be louder. If it was the size of the kicker and the same quantity the i would choose ethe alpine but the kickers are better than one alpine.
