Two questions...

If I have a 900w RMS system can I do the big three with 4 AWG CCA wires?
Will that help at all, I have left over wire and I don't want to spend 60$ on 15ft of 0 AWF OFC wiring...
Also, in power wires, which is better? (The wire size overall has the same weight/size/diameter)
More strands of a lesser AWG
Or less strands of a higher AWG

For ex...
5000 strands of 36 AWG
VS
1500 strands of 32 AWG

I think you already asked this but I could be wrong. 4 AWG CCA is more or less equivalent to 8 AWG OFC as far as current draw is concerned.

As far as the strand count is concerned when it comes to AWG, as long as the surface area adheres to the specified AWG size, then a manufacturer can use less strands of a thicker gauge or more strands of a thinner gauge to achieve a specific surface area. If the surface area of the conductor is the same, the only real difference then becomes the flexibility of the cable; more strands = more flexibility.

There's also another thing you should be aware of and that is the difference between AWG vs simply "Gauge." Some of the cheaper cables are specified in "gauge" where the surface area of the conductor is more or less at the discretion of the manufacturer and does not adhere to American Wire Gauge (AWG) specs. You ever see an 8 "gauge" cable from a cheaper brand like Boss. It has about the same amount of copper as a 12 AWG cable from a reputable brand like Rockford Fosgate.

Just get yourself some good cable and do the job right. I would recommend OFC cable from Knuconceptz.
