car is about to be reposessed, what if i keep it in my locked garage to

prevent towing? ive fallen behind on my car payments due to an unexpected bill, and i got a letter last week saying that my car will be reposessed sometime on monday (tommarrow) if payment is not received by then. I told them i would be able to pay the full amount on friday but they didnt accept my offer?

My question is, what if i move my car from my driveway and into my locked garage to prevent towing? and then keep it there till friday when i can pay the bill? what do you think they'd do if anything between this monday and next friday?

I would recommend you call whoever holds the lien on your car and try to arrange to make the payment on Friday. If you lock the car in your garage, they can get a warrant that will allow them to go into your garage by any means necessary and take your car. Additionally, if they wanted to be jerks about it they could also have you arrested since you would technically be stealing the car.
If you go in to make the payment before they are able to get the warranty to take the car, they can still have you arrested. I would call them.
