I bought the car privately and the previous ower had bought
A cd dvd player from halfords and had it fitted to the car.
The stereo has a face plate which I remove when it isn't in use, however
There's still a light trhat flashes on the fixture that holds the face plate.
It stays on when the ignition is off, so I'm guessing this is the cause of my battery drain every 2-3 days.
I've singled it out as the cause, it isn't my alternator and my battery is brand new and tested so I know it aint that.
Just wondered if I can take it to a local garge and have them swap the wiring so the stereo can't run unless my ignition is on?
I have a fiat punto and have read that these halfords stereos have drained a few other peoples batteries.
I don't want to get rid of the player totallyt unless I have to,
Is there a way something can be altered so it isn't draining my battery constantly?
