we installed a car stereo in my 1996 88 Oldsmobile and i got all the wires hooked up correctly we had it working and i drove about 5 miles and i heard a click i knew the fuse blew and the stereo died. There is a fuse in the stereo that is 15 amps the fuse in the car is 10 amps i'm guessing thats why the fuse it blowing because the stereo uses to much electricity. so my question isn't why its blowing but what to do to fix it. Without costing a ton of money!!!
and no i cant just plug a 15 amp fuse in or the wires could melt and start a fire
