i have dial-up service through earthlink (out in the boonies and no other options other than satellite) i have just recently purchased a catch-a-call max in order to receive calls while on-line. the box itself works, it notifies when a call is coming through. but the main feature of this item is the call display on the computer and the box is connected to the computer via usb for this purpose. when the box is plugged into the usb we cannot connect to the internet and the phone line is full of static. when not connected to the usb, the catch-a-call box works fine except, of course, for the caller id. i was wondering if this has anything to do with the phone line itself or if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this.
