Can a marriage be deemed invalid if it can be established that one of the spouses married the other in order get material benefits, and them divorce them later on when the maritial assets were sufficient to support oneself for a while? How far do you have to go to prove that you or your spouse married without any intention of living up to the marriage vows? Does it matter? What if you get a girl pregnant and think you must marry her, or marry her so you can be close to your child? Is the marriage valid? What if you were very young, like under 18 or just over 18? Why is the decision to declare a marriage invalid left to a handful of people who have no idea of the situation, except what is written on a short questionnaire? What if they are wrong? What if you know they made their decision based on supposed facts which are not true, or failed to fully understand critical facts?
